LIFE IS TOO BIG FOR MY HEART -- The Blog of the Very Small Boy

Two days ago, in an effort to encourage Josh's love of books, and his writing skills, we picked up a Mead Primary Journal and started a new tradition.  Before bedtime, Josh sits beside me and tells me his favorite parts of the day, and I write them down.  Then he draws a picture at the top about one of the things he talked about.  I love this!  His eyes light up as he realizes that he can hear his own story back to him.  After thinking about it further, I realized that one of the things that fascinates me most about Josh is his use of language.  He is intuitive, even when he's still reaching for the words, and the unexpected wisdom and the quips I'd never expect to hear from someone still so innocent about life never cease to catch me off-guard. I'm not talking out of Mommy-Bias, and you'll see that soon enough.

With his permission, I have been granted the privilege of posting his statements, stories, quotes and even his journal in his own blog.  He dictates, and I try to keep up.  On his blog, you will find his own words (I've only taken the liberty of structuring them into poetry). I will include pictures that may not be posted on the KoF blog, and occasionally, pictures he has taken himself. I will continue to post to my normal blogs, but I consider Josh's to be the icing.

I don't know what's going to come of this project.  I only know I don't want to forget it, and I just want to see what happens next.

And so, it is with the greatest pleasure, that I invite you to see the world through his eyes.

Thanks for your support. Thankfully, he's as excited about it as I am.
